Southern Fried, het label van Fatboy Slim, heeft de grote stap ook maar eens gewaagd. Het label komt nu met zijn eerste compilatie, gemixed door Mighty Dub Katz en Cagedbaby.

Southern Fried & Tested, zo heet de eerste compilatie van Southern Fried. Tested zeker, want de tracks op deze dubbel cd hebben zich allemaal al ruimschoots bewezen in het clubcircuit. Het album is dan ook een overzicht van de catalogus van het label, waar een hele hoop dikke hits bij zitten. Net als in de dj-sets van labelbaas Norman Cook a.k.a. Fatboy Slim gaat het bij Southern Fried zelf ook alle kanten op. Alles van disco en latin house tot electro en zelf echte popmuziek wordt uitgebracht. Artiesten als Armand van Helden, Elton John, Cagedbaby, Andrea Doria en Dada Life zagen hun tracks al uitkomen op dit label. De eerste cd is samengesteld en gemixed door Norman Cook, onder zijn alias Mighty Dub Katz en de tweede door electropoppers Cagedbaby.
