Kijken: Bejaard echtpaar zet drop in bij Above & Beyond on stage

EDM is écht voor jong en oud. Dat werd - een paar jaar terug - tijdens de set van de nu al legendarische Britse trance-act Above & Beyond op EDC Las Vegas maar weer eens bewezen. Groot fan van Above & Beyond, Anthony Vagenas, klom in de pen en schreef onderstaande korte brief aan de heren van Above & Beyond:

“I am currently going to attend Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) Las Vegas with my brother and grandparents, and I’ll keep this short and sweet. My grandmother turns 75 years old Friday, June 17th, and my grandpa will be 84 years old during the time as well. I’m trying to give them the best experience that they can have while they are there at EDC, and would love for my grandparents to 'push the button'. We have to keep the EDM scene going for as long as we can and this would really help to prove that the age difference has no affect in a place like EDC, and everyone loves everyone.”

Push the button

Vast onderdeel van een Above & Beyond optreden is namelijk 'Push the button', waarbij de act willekeurige trance-fans uit het publiek on stage haalt om de drop van hun hit 'Sun & Moon' in te zetten achter de draaitafels. Willekeurig dus, normaal gesproken… maar na het lezen van Anthony's brief besloten ze om ditmaal een uitzondering te maken.

Tot Anthony's stomme verbazing gaf de trance-act gehoor aan zijn brief en mocht hij samen met zijn broer en grootouders voor zo'n tienduizend trance-fans het podium op voor dit epische moment!
