James Zabiela & Nic Fanciulli veroveren de wereld

De twee jonge progressive boegbeelden gaan onder de noemer One+One samen op wereldtournee.

James Zabiela en Nic Fanciulli kwamen elkaar in 2005 vaak tegen op gigs in Azië, en het klikte goed. Ze begonnen later te experimenteren met back2back sets, o.a. in Space op Ibiza en de Winter Music Conference in Miami. Dit sloeg erg goed aan, de twee heren sloten goed bij elkaar aan qua sound, en het idee voor een wereld tour was geboren.

De tour, gekoppeld aan een gelijknamig Ministry of Sound album, zal tijdens Miami’s WMC beginnen met een launch party op vrijdag 23 maart. Hierna zullen ze door heel Amerika reizen, met soms wel vijf gigs in de week.. Hierna wordt Engeland aangedaan, en vervolgens Azië en Australië. Daarna, in de zomer, is Europa aan de beurt, met als middelpunt Ibiza. Een Nederlandse datum voor een back2back sessie is nog niet bekend.

James: “Even though Nic and I are relatively young dj’s compared to most we've been touring heavily on our own for a few years now. So when we did a quick tour of Australia and Asia last year we decided that it's much more fun to go with someone else! I always wanted more hands in the dj booth and now I have them, we'll be using the Q2 Dual DJ which will allow us to independently cue things as well as play with FX units, laptops and CDJ’s of course.”

Nic voegt toe: “We both started off with the same musical background and as time went on we developed our own styles. When we put them together it works well and we seem to compliment each other musically. Normally when making an album I panic about getting things done but this has been a totally different process. I've really enjoyed it; James and I bounce off each other and help one another out if the other is struggling. I’m so looking forward to getting this tour on the road.”
