Goldfrapp te moe voor optredens

Alison Goldfrapp tourde met Will Gregory de hele wereld rond ter promotie van hun laatste album ‘Black Cherry’ dat mei vorig jaar verscheen. Er ging geen festival voorbij of Goldfrapp trad op. De dame heeft een flinke muzikale reputatie en leverde muzikale bijdragen op albums van Tricky en Orbital. Maar het vele optreden en reizen eist zijn tol en het duo moest noodgedwongen optredens op Creamfields Spanje (14 augustus) en Pukkelpop (21 augustus) afgelopen weken afzeggen. Ook Creamfields in Liverpool aankomend weekend is gecanceled.

"we are very sorry to have had to cancel the shows in Spain, Belgium and Liverpool. We've had a fantastic time touring Black Cherry for the last year and a half, but the doctor has advised me to rest for at least four weeks. We'd like to thank everybody all around the world who came to see us. I hope we haven't disappointed too many people and we hope to make up for it next year" xxx
