Geen Tiesto

Stem niet op mij, maar stem op de nieuwe generatie dj’s. Dat is het advies van Tiësto, dat hij op zijn website aan zijn fans geeft. De dj is tot drie keer toe tot meest populaire dj verkozen in de befaamde top 100 en ziet niet in wat een vierde keer voor zijn carrière zal doen. Tiësto vindt het dan ook belangrijk dat nieuwe talenten gesteund moeten worden en vraagt iedereen dus niet op hem te stemmen, maar op de nieuwe generatie dj’s.

Hi Everybody,

I just finished my gig in Las Vegas half an hour ago. I had an epic weekend with four great shows. I spent a couple of days in Tahoe, went to Austin Texas, a festival in Chicago and the Global festival at the Palms hotel in Vegas.

Every night I went out with the promoter of the city I was in and most of them where bringing up the DJ Magazine top 100 voting. It's a big thing for most of the promoters and most of them will book DJ's that are high on this list.

That made me think, because if that's the case the voting is important. Especially to breed new talent. There are so many new great young DJ's out there that I feel it's time to give them a chance. I appreciate all the love and support I get from all over the world but I won this award three times so if I would win it a fourth time, it wouldn't make a difference for my career.

For the new talented DJ's around the world it could make a difference, so I would like to ask all the people who support me to vote for new talent.

Don't vote for me, vote for the new breed!
